Swades: a (near) true story!

Check out this article on how two Keralites actually lit a bulb in a remote village in Maharashtra. Beautifully written article, this is an incident which happened 5 years ago...this is not exactly a Swades story, but very very similar...you can actually imagine Khatri Vasave in Swades...as the old lady in the scene when the current finally flows and the bulb in a small hut glows as she stares at it and bursts into a smile...

Development is not just building big dams and big factories. This small story from the village in Maharashtra says a lot.
Its small small droplets of water that make an ocean..
