Mani Ratnam and Arvind Swamy...

An inseparable association for 9 years! Believe it or not, Aravind Swamy contributed in all but one movie of Mani Ratnam from 1991-2000, in some way or the other...

1991 - Dalapathy - Arvind Swamy's film debut as a District Collector and Rajnikanth's younger brother
1992 - Roja - The engineer who is kidnapped in Kashmir
1993 - Thiruda Thiruda - Cant find any connection in this one...
1995 - Bombay - The Hindu guy who marries a Muslim girl (Manisha Koirala) against all odds and ends up right in the middle of the 1992 Bombay riots
1997 - Iruvar - There are two audio tracks which are basically poems just read out (by Prakash Raj in the movie)...they are by Arvind Swamy :-)
1998 - Dil Se.. - In the tamil version of the movie (Uyire) Shah Rukh's voice is dubbed by Arvind Swamy
2000 - Alai Payuthey - Plays the role of the understanding husband of Khushboo, in a cameo

I have not noticed him after AP, the movies being Kannathuil Muthamittal and Aaytha Ezhuthu/Yuva...Madhavan seems to be the new fav boy aftr his debut in Alai Payuthey, jus like Aravind Swamy was aftr his debut in Dalapathy...
